Sesame Ginger Sirloin Steak Salad Recipe

Sesame Ginger Sirloin Steak Salad Recipe

Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce Top Sirloin steak
  • 1 package of baby spinach (~10 ounces)
  • 4 tbsp sesame ginger dressing, store bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup edamame
  • 2 tbsp. sunflower seeds
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper 30 minutes prior to cooking
  2. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat until pan is smoking
  3. Place steak in the oil and cook for ~4 minutes without touching the steak to develop a crust on the steak.
  4. Flip once and continue cooking until internal temperature reaches between 145°F for medium rare and 160°F for medium.
  5. Remove from heat and let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  6. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl, split into 2 servings and serve with the steak.
