Mott 32 serves Chinese food with the highest quality ingredients and modern twists in a dark, sexy space located in the basement of Standard Chartered Bank in Central, Hong Kong. It’s expensive, and definitely caters to the corporate card crowd, but worth it for some of the best char siu and Peking duck in town with top-notch service and gin drinks made tableside on a gin trolley. The char siu and Peking duck need to be ordered in advance. If you go on a whim, the Peking chicken is a nice substitute for the duck, though not as juicy or fatty as duck would be. Lobster dishes like their har gow with yunnan ham and mapo tofu are best enjoyed if someone else is paying 😉
Eat this: Iberico BBQ pork & Peking duck (must pre-order both), Clay pot king prawns, crab meat fried rice, Iberico pork siu mai with soft quail egg & black truffle, hot & sour iberico pork soup dumplings (seasonal)
